She began teaching dance throughout Eastern Massachusetts at many dance studios, private schools and preschools. In 1999 she opened the Dance Studio of Norwell. Michelle relocated the Dance Studio of Norwell to Hanover in 2015 and opened the studio under it's new name Dance Studio 53 , After becoming a mom in 2007, she understands firsthand the importance of teaching children and enjoys it more than ever.
Caitlin Carabba grew up in Halifax MA, and received 16 years of training in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, modern, and acro at A Dancer’s World. She continued to dance her way through Bridgewater State University where she was a member of the Dance Team and Dance Company competing at the Universal Dance Association’s Collegiate Nationals for four years in Orlando Florida. In 2019 Caitlin received a BA in Dance and a BS in Elementary Education from Bridgewater State University. Caitlin’s two passions are dance and working with children. Caitlin is a first-grade teacher in Cohasset, MA where she also has the opportunity to run an after-school Dance Enrichment Program and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Special Education at BSU
Christine DeGrasse discovered a passion for dance at an early age. She began taking lessons at a local dance studio at four years old and was a member of the studio’s competition team throughout high school. To further her dance education, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Dance Management and Instruction from Plymouth State University. At PSU, Chris studied Jazz, Tap, Modern and Ballet technique and enjoyed performing with the Contemporary Dance Ensemble and at the American College Dance Festival. She was grateful to be selected for a Dance Talent Grant her senior year. Upon graduation, she began teaching dance at Dance Studio 53 (formerly Dance Studio of Norwell) and loves working with students of all ages, the competition teams and the staff. Chris has performed as a precision dancer in Reagle Music Theater of Waltham’s “Christmas Time” and has been very fortunate to attend the Rockette Summer Intensive in NYC for three years.
Heather Rizzo started doing gymnastics and dancing at the age of four and fell in love with it instantly. She danced at Judy’s School of Dance taking any class offered and even started assisting with classes when she was only ten years old. After a short time away from dance to start a family, Heather was brought back to teaching when she enrolled her own daughter into dance classes. Heathers enthusiasm creates a positive environment for students to progress making her a perfect fit as our Acrobatics and Hip-Hop teacher.
